UK Libraries participates in the Year of South Asia kickoff
Mary Pattengill, Katie Smith and Toni Greider,
UK Libraries International Working Group, greeted students at the Arts and
Sciences Year of South Asia kickoff event. They promoted the South Asia cinema
series that UK Libraries is sponsoring and invited everyone to taste chikki, an
authentic Indian candy. The Year of South Asia will be celebrated for the
entire academic year and UK Libraries will be mounting exhibits and hosting cultural
events during the fall and spring semesters.
